Brake troubles and new friends
After partying hard we knew we had to keep it up, next venue: Joe’s Grotto in Phoenix. This place was sick, we played with 4 other bands including Headroom from Phoenix, they were killer. A really great cover band who played everything from Metallica to Cee Lo Green. We hung out and partied the night away. As we left the venue and pull the van around we realized the vans breaks weren’t working… Never a good thing. Looking under the van we realized brake fluid was leaking. We then took the place back to Pete’s aunts to crash and check it in the morning. Barely making it there, we were glad to be pulling in and ending the night. We then headed out to lounge by the pool and pass out.
Today was nuts. One of our good friend, Alex Petsel, flew in from Iowa to hang out and tour with us. Before leaving to pic him up and inspecting the van we realized it couldn’t be driven and needed to be fixed. Luckily Pete’s cousin’s boyfriend Aaron was willing to fix it, which eventually turned into replacing the front brakes and break lines. He’s a champ and we owe him infinitely. Later in the day we headed to the next venue, 910 LIVE, and got ready to party. We played with two awesome band, one being the Vintage Squares who were a really great rock dance group, reminding us a little of good friends Dead Larry. We raged and to a good sized crowd and spread the i9 message meeting people and making friends. Next up, LA.
